CURE Summer Internship Program
Applications are now open for the UCSF Center for Science, Education and Outreach 2026 CURE Research Internship program!
CURE is an 8-week summer research internship designed to provide rising senior high school students and City College of San Francisco students with a hands-on research experience at UCSF.
Participants are paired with a UCSF lab and provided with mentorship and experiential laboratory experiences across the spectrum of research, including basic, clinical, behavioral, and population sciences. Students also engage in professional development, college preparation, and an opportunity to explore academic and career pathways in health and science fields.
Eligibility requirements:
- Current high school junior or current City College of San Francisco student
- Must be 16 years old by start of program
- Must be interested in RESEARCH and LAB sciences
- Minimum GPA 2.5
- Completed Biology or Chemistry with a B or better
- Must be available for the entire 8-week program (40 hours a week)
Important dates to remember:
- Application closes Sunday, February 8 at 11:59PM
- Program Dates: Monday, June 15- Friday, August 7
